So another trip has come and gone. While the fishing was on the poor side, the enjoyment was fantastic; the 12 guys had a great time, and this was by far the best trip to date! on the fishing side, the water remained very cold throughout our stay, which could add to the fact that the fish were scarce. we managed to get 7 Blacktails, 2 Shad, 2 sandsharks, 2 crayfish and a blowfish. the wind was quite strong for 2 days, while the sea was extremely rough on one of the days.

Planning for a trip to Mazeppa is very important; the closest town is Butterworth, about 60km away, with 55km being a dirt road, so it takes a good hour and a half to get there! Take along all essentials, especially if doing self-catering. and please stock up on enough sinkers! Mazeppa has a small little shop, which at times doesn't even have bread!
